Why track this

Urges don't arrive randomly, and not every coping tool works the same way every time. This tracker captures the stuff that matters — triggers, HALT states, sleep, stress, which tools you actually used — so you can see which conditions make a sober day easier or harder. The point isn't to judge slips; it's to learn what your safe days have in common.

What it tracks

6 fields. Done in 30 seconds a day.

How it works

Log, build, learn.

01

Log in 30 seconds

Mark sober_today, rate urge_intensity, pick triggers and coping tools, and check any HALT flags that apply.

02

Build your dataset

After a week or two, you'll have enough entries for the AI to start comparing days — high-urge vs. low-urge, slip days vs. safe streaks.

03

Get your first insight

The AI will surface a pattern — e.g. which coping tools appear on your safest days, or what triggers cluster before your strongest urges.

Benefits

Why people stick with it.

See which coping tools you actually use when urges are strongest
Spot HALT patterns (hungry, angry, lonely, tired) before they escalate
Understand how sleep and stress show up in your urge intensity
Learn which triggers tend to appear together — and which days they don't
Track your sober-day count without losing context when life gets messy
What you'll learn

4 things Sober streak + urge log reveals about you.

  • Which triggers show up before your strongest urges
  • Which coping tools you reach for when urges are lowest vs. highest
  • Whether hunger, anger, loneliness, or tiredness appear before slips or near-misses
  • How sleep quality and stress levels correlate with urge intensity over time

What AI analysis reveals
Your sober streak + urge log pattern

The AI compares days when urge_intensity was high against days when it was low, looking at which urge_triggers, coping_used, and HALT flags were present. It might show that on your safest streak days, sleep_quality was above 6 and you'd used two or more coping tools. Or that halt_lonely and halt_tired often appear together on days when urge_count spiked. These are illustrative examples — your own patterns will depend on what you log.

FAQs

Common questions

Do I have to log every single day?

No. Log when it's useful. Some people track daily for the first month, then drop to a few times a week. The AI needs at least a week or two of entries to spot early patterns.

What if I slip — do I have to start over?

You don't start over. You log hours_since_last_use and keep going. The AI looks at the whole arc — slip days often reveal the most useful pattern data.

Will this give me medical advice or relapse warnings?

No. It's a pattern tool, not a clinical service. It shows you what your own data looks like — triggers, coping, HALT states — so you can make your own decisions.

Can I share my sober-day count with anyone?

Not yet. This tracker is solo-only and private to you. We're considering streak-sharing features for a future release.

What if I don't know what triggered an urge?

Leave urge_triggers blank or choose 'don't know'. The AI looks for patterns across all fields, so even partial data builds useful context over time.

How soon will I see an insight?

Usually after 7–10 entries. Early insights are simple — e.g. 'urge_count peaks on days when halt_tired is true'. The longer you track, the richer the picture.
