Is Free really free forever?
Yes. No card, no trial-expiry, no surprise charges. Free includes 2 trackers, full charts, daily reminder emails, and 2 lifetime AI insights per tracker (one at 30 days, one at 180 days). Use it forever if it works for you.
The catch: you can't upload photos/PDFs, and you can't run AI insights on demand — only the two milestone ones.

What's a "tracker"?
A tracker is one thing you log daily — Mood, Sleep, Blood Sugar, Habits, etc. Each tracker has its own form (a few seconds to fill), its own charts, and its own AI insights. 2 trackers on Free is enough to spot patterns like sleep→mood. 5 on Plus covers most life-tracking. 10 on Pro is for power users.
What's an "AI insight" or "AI analysis"?
It's the moment you hit Analyse. The AI reads your last weeks of entries — your numbers, your notes — and writes a plain-English summary of patterns it found. Things like "On days you slept under 6 hours, your mood the next day was 1.8 points lower."

Monthly or annual — does it matter?
Same features, same limits. Annual just saves you 10% (about a month free). You can switch between monthly and annual anytime — change takes effect at your next renewal.

Why does Free only get 2 AI insights per tracker?
Each AI insight costs real money to generate (the AI is doing actual work reading your data). We give Free users two — at 30 days and 180 days — so you can see what's possible before paying. That's the "before-and-after" of building a tracking habit.

Plus gives you 5 AI runs per month total, drawn from a shared pool. With 5 trackers, you'd typically run one per tracker per month — perfect for monthly check-ins. You can spend all 5 on one tracker if you want.

Pro gives you 40 AI runs per month — roughly weekly cadence on all 10 trackers. For people who want fast iteration on what they're tracking, not "wait a month to see what changed". Still a shared pool — spend it however you like.
What does "Last 3 monthly analyses visible" mean on Plus?
You keep your last 3 monthly AI analyses per tracker — the most recent insight stays available, and you can scroll back two more. Older analyses are deleted to keep storage clean.

What's the AI actually reading? Will it see my private notes?
Only when you hit Analyse. Your entries (numbers + notes) are sent to our AI provider at that moment, with strict guardrails — no training, no retention beyond the analysis. We never auto-send anything.

Storage & uploads
What's "100 MB / 1 GB photo + PDF storage" for?
Some trackers benefit from attachments — a lab result PDF for Blood Sugar, a photo of a prescription label for Medication, a growth chart for Child Growth. Plus includes 100 MB; Pro includes 1 GB. That's lifetime storage, not monthly.

Why can't I upload photos on the Free plan?
Photo & PDF hosting costs us money per gigabyte stored — it's the line item we can't give away for free. Free users still get full text-based tracking (mood scores, notes, scales) — that costs us almost nothing to host.
If you need uploads for a single tracker, Plus at £7.99/mo is the cheapest way to unlock them.

I'm running out of storage. What can I do?
Three options:
- Add a +1 GB storage pack for £9.99/year — stack up to 10 (max +10 GB).
- Upgrade Plus → Pro to get the full 1 GB included.
- Delete old attachments you don't need from the entry history page.
What happens if I downgrade and I'm over the new storage limit?
Nothing gets deleted. You get a 30-day grace period to either:
- Upgrade again or buy a storage pack to fit under the new cap, or
- Manually delete files until you're under cap.
What's "50 OCR pages/month"?
When you upload a PDF (a lab result, a doctor's letter), Unhide automatically reads the text out of it so the AI can include it in your analysis. That's OCR — Optical Character Recognition. It costs us per page, so we cap it.
Plus: 50 PDF pages/month. Pro: 200. Over the limit? Uploads still save — OCR just queues for next month.

Add-ons
When should I buy an add-on vs upgrade to the next tier?
Rule of thumb: need just one more thing → add-on. Going to need more across the board → upgrade.
- Plus user who needs a 6th tracker → +£1.99/mo add-on (cheaper than Pro).
- Plus user who needs more AI runs every month → +£2.99/mo bundle.
- Plus user filling up storage AND needing more AI → upgrade to Pro.
Why are add-ons Plus+Pro only?
Add-ons stack on top of a paid base. If you're on Free, the most economical jump is straight to Plus at £7.99/mo — you'll get more value than buying add-ons piecemeal anyway.
Can I cancel an add-on without losing my base subscription?
Yes. Each add-on is a separate subscription — cancel any one without touching the others. Storage packs end at their annual period end (you keep the +1 GB until then). Tracker and AI add-ons end at the next monthly billing date.
Billing & account
Can I cancel anytime? Will I get a refund?
Yes, cancel anytime — no questions. We follow a 14-day refund window: cancel within 14 days of paying and we refund in full. After that, you keep access until the end of the billing period you've paid for.
Can I pause my subscription?
Yes — pause for up to 3 months. Your data stays exactly where it is, billing stops, and you resume on whatever date you pick. We'll send a reminder 14 days and 3 days before auto-resume so there's never a surprise charge.
What if my card fails — do I lose my data?
No. We retry your card a few times over 14 days and email you each time. If the payment still fails, your account drops to Free — but every entry, every analysis, every photo is kept exactly as is. Update payment whenever you're ready and your full plan comes back.
Where does my card data live? Is it secure?
Stripe handles everything card-related. We never see, store, or process your full card number — Stripe is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified (the highest tier). We only see the last 4 digits and the brand. You can change card or download invoices in the Stripe Customer Portal anytime.
What happens to my data if I delete my account?
Everything is deleted — entries, photos, PDFs, analyses — within 30 days, and you get an emailed confirmation. We don't keep "soft-deleted" data, we don't sell it to anyone, and we don't reuse it for AI training. Account deletion is in Settings (5-second confirm to prevent fat-fingers).

What currency? Any taxes added?
v1 prices are in GBP only. VAT is added at checkout based on the country you're billing from — Stripe handles it. Multi-currency (USD, EUR) is on the v1.x roadmap.
