Backfilling past entries

Last updated: July 2026

What is backfilling?

Backfilling lets you log entries for dates in the past. If you forgot to log yesterday, or you are adding a tracker after the fact, you can fill in your history up to 14 days back.

How to backfill

Open the tracker and tap the log button. On the entry form, tap the date field and select the date you want to fill in. Complete the prompt and save -- the entry will appear in your history at the correct date.

Limits on backfilling

You can backfill up to 14 days in the past. Entries older than 14 days cannot be added retroactively. Once an entry is saved and more than 7 days have passed, it locks and cannot be edited.

Does backfilling affect insights?

Yes -- insights are generated from all your logged entries, including backfilled ones. Backfilling a full week of data can be enough to trigger your first analysis.
